SDU Speed Datin'

I've been talking with one of my sexy colleagues about joining Singapore's fantastic SDU to try speed dating. Sounds like fun I think, an opportunity to do any of the following in 1 minute: freak a girl out with own curious speak & dining etiquette, meet someone who might know someone who might know someone that will open an account with me, or actually be completely tantalized by a delightful wo... hmm. Nope- I'm sceptical. My colleague is too - I mean, what are the chances of her sitting across tables for a minute with a half French, half Japanese sex god measuring in at least 178 cm tall at a SINGAPOREAN SDU SPEED DATING SESSION. But hope is sweetly human.

Yet another sexy friend's opinion is that over the minute you might decide you like each other, trade contacts, and then later after a little more hub-bub realise that that first minute of interaction simply wasn't long enough for you to figure out the chick was a psycho and she's lurkin' outside the office. Uh-oh. But no... that doesn't worry me too much either.

Really, the only thing preventing us from going speed dating is SDU membership fees, which, at $20 for 2 years, is pretty hefty. :P To their credit, I checked out the SDU website and the calendar of events is jam packed with promising events like salsa nights, wine tasting and even educational stuff like 'palmistry & you'. Ooh.. so check it out. Its a world of possiblities, just a click away :D

This one. How do I make her a believer?

Blogger meet reader?

Woo hoo! First blog - well not really, i had a xanga account before but i've shut it down.

So the news is all over this latest earthquake. And man, who could imagine that the region would have another quake coming for it... I think there's alot of us wondering just what the hell is up with the planet. A higher rate of natural disasters, epidemics, crazy weather, crazy gun slingin kids... You start to wonder if this is the direction our planet's headed or if it is, like it would probably be in human life, a passing phase.

Emailed the author of
this blog after reading it cover-to-cover and deciding that she's both gorgeous and hilarious - and that's dived into the issue of how comfortable bloggers are with meeting their readers/fellow bloggers. Its funny that many bloggers are posting their life stories on the net, photos & all, and then worry -seriously worry- about issues like privacy. Fair enough, lotsa psychos out there, but between posting a friendster profile and blogging, I think you inevitably make your life alot more public.

Hi there world! My name is Paul, and my life is almost an open book. I like women usually and enjoy driving with the windows down. Dis local boy is not so local & people often tell me I jiak kan tang. Truth is though I love this country and I hate to eat potatoes unless its crips or fries. Hmm. Or in chicken curry. Peace oooout.
